Farmers & Exciting new additions coming to the website

Hi everyone,

I've been a bit quiet on the old Blog front I do apologise, it's busy work getting a new business off the ground, especially when a lot of people are still new to Animal Communication.

Recently I was put to the test, explaining myself to a pub full of synics (Local Farmers) but I think I passed! Here's the story...

A couple of weeks ago my other half Ben & I decided to have dinner in the local pub in our village. We've only been here 6 months so we're still newbies & townies at that! After our meal & a couple of pints of local Cider we went to the bar to pay the bill. One of the locals asked if we were settled in & asked us to stay for another. They asked the normal questions & finally got round to asking what I did for a living (as I worked from home). Ben's face was a picture, he knew that if I told the truth these men (as lovey as they were) would NOT understand what I did. Well their faces were also a picture when I did tell them what I did... most of them are Farmers & see animals as 'livestock'... they couldn't get their heads around the fact that I worked with animals to help them & not for money. They did take the mick but I held my own & they found me highly amusing for the rest of the evening (oh yes 'one more' cider turned into quite a few more). So, now we've made friends with the locals & they think I'm Dr Doolittle but I'm proud of what I do & nothing can shake my confidence. I think it's good to be tested every now & again!

Countrywide Hereford Store PET DAY 7th May 2011

Today I attended the Hereford Countrywide's Pet Day today with my friend Helen of K9 Cares Dog Walking & Doggy Day Care. We had a fantastic day, met a lot of lovely animals & people. The staff were great & looked brilliant in their costumes! Here are some piccies from the day..

Tia's Tail - A testimonial from Helen

I had the pleasure of experiencing Gemma in action very recently when she offered to work with Tia our very enthusiastic female Terrier cross.

We've owned Tia since she was a pup and she has always been 'highly strung', but this has become an increasing problem as she got older, to the point where we started to worry about Tia's health for the future.  I discussed this with Gemma and she was confident that she could help.  Gemma therefore came over to our house and she spent a long time discussing the principles of animal communication with me and methods of treating Tia's anxiety and obsessive behaviour.  In the first session Gemma's approach was to deal with Tia's anxiety in an attempt to encourage her to relax in a non-invasive and passive way.  Gemma taught me the methods she would use so I could continue on with this for the following week. 

To my amazement, it started to have an affect, Tia became visibly more relaxed and less obsessive with her ball and objects, she was even playing with them for the first time which was absolutely wonderful to see.
I found the whole experience enlightening and quite emotional as you could see how happy Tia was and could be with the right support and guidance.

Gemma is a truly gifted individual and I feel very honoured to have her as my friend.  I have to say that the session not only had an effect on Tia, but myself as well.  I have noticed that I am able to deal with events and situations through my life much differently and have been left feeling much more aware and grounded.

Romantic Novelist Katie Fforde

A week ago today I took Mum out for her Surprise Mothers Day Treat, attending a Talk by the Romantic Novelist Katie Fforde & meeting her briefly whilst she signed her latest Novel Summer of Love that I'd bought Mum.

During her talk Katie told us how she's always on the look out for interesting jobs for her heroin characters to have, I was tempted to put my hand up & tell her what I did but it was a little daunting, especially as it's a new concept for a lot of people who still refer to what I do as being a "Gifted Psychic".

Yesterday I decided to email her & this morning I woke up to a lovely reply...

An animal communicator is exactly the sort of job I might put in a book. You can just imagine the hero, with a difficult animal, meeting the girl who can help him with it, and gradually converting him to the idea.

When I find I need this kind of thing I will get in touch!  It will go on my list of professions. Thank you!

When I first found out about Gemma Blackwell's gift, I was overwhelmed with emotion so I knew I had to contact her to see if she would be able to communicate with my two cats. What was particularly tricky (in my view) was that one of them, Chaka, had recently passed on. After I sent a photo of Chaka to Gemma, she made contact and then at our appointment, she let me know some of the images and messages she was getting about Chaka to ensure she was communicating with the right animal. After we established that Gemma was indeed communicating with Chaka, I was able to receive messages through Gemma from Chaka on how she was doing and how she was feeling after her passing. I was able to pass messages to Chaka through Gemma about how much I missed her and how I hoped she was happy and safe.

This reading went so well that I decided to ask Gemma to communicate with my other cat, Kibbles, to see how she was doing with Chaka's passing and how she was feeling in general. Again, after we established that Gemma was communicating with Kibbles, I was able to check in with Kibbles through Gemma to ensure that she was doing OK - and receive the message that she did not want another mate to join her in our household! I found communicating to my animals, especially Chaka, very comforting. It brought me a great deal of peace about her passing. It was also nice to communicate with Kibbles - I think it was important for her to know that I was concerned about her, too. If you aren't sure what's going on with your pet, need to check in about something specific or just want to communicate how much you love them or miss them, I would definately get in touch with Gemma at Pet Tails.

Extraordinary Dogs - Channel 5

I watched Extraordinary Dogs today & was amazed to see that Scientists, Vets & other 'experts' are looking into dogs & whether or not they pick up feelings from people! I had to share this link with you as it seems Science is starting to see what Animal Communication is all about. One dog could predict when people in a care home would die & would alert staff & stay with the person until their family came.
