Please Help Rosie to see again

I am a volunteer for my local RSPCA branch & help them out when I can. They recently contacted me & asked me to help spread the word about a beautiful dog that needs our help. Please read on & see how you could help Rosie...

The Rosie Appeal

PLEASE HELP ROSIE TO SEE AGAIN

Rosie was abandoned outside Holmer Vets, Hereford on Sunday 15th  July and is now receiving treatment under our care.  She was underweight, blind from cataracts, diabetic and had a skin problem.  Despite all this, she is a very sweet, loving little dog whose tail never stops wagging and she copes very bravely with her health problems.  Rosie is currently in the care of fosterers who love her very much and she loves them just as much.  Rosie recently underwent tests at the Eye Clinic and the surgeon told us that her cataracts can be removed and  her sight fully restored.  The cost of this will be £3,500.  Rosie is such an inspirational little dog and everyone who comes into contact with her is touched by her story.  We would all love to help her to see again and we are doing everything we can to raise money for her operation, which needs to be done sooner rather than later.  If you would like to help please send or drop in a donation into our shop, or make a donation online. For details see below. THANK YOU

Client testimonial - Rose & Rupert

Rupert
Rose contacted me about her latest addition Rupert, as I had helped her other pets some time ago. She told me how Rupert was a lovely boy but uses their furniture (and them) as a scratching post at every opportunity.

Here's Rose's testimonial following one phone consultation:

Rupert was causing us problems by how much he liked to claw things especially our best sofas and carpets.  We asked Genma to talk to him to try and find out why he did it and what we could do to prevent it, since providing a scratching post wasn’t working.  When she spoke with him, Gemma understood that the clawing was a sign of his kittenish exhuberance and that he was just so excited to be indoors with us.  On our behalf Gemma explained that we loved him very much but would prefer it if he didn’t wreck the furniture.  He suggested that we put a log near the doors to the outside so he could use them instead.  This we have done and the scratching has been significantly reduced – except when it’s raining and he still gets so excited to come in – but I think Gemma will have a word with him about tbat too!  If there are any typing errors in this it’s Ruperts fault as he as twiced jumped on the keyboard – I think he wants to say  hallo to Gemma.

Client testimonial - Rose & Badger

Badger
Rose's testimonial following one phone consultation:

Badger was a very independent cat and we were not sure if he was happy. When Gemma spoke with him, he turned out just to be a very laid back character who was happy with how things were.  Sadly he is no longer with us but it is re-assuring to know he considered himself to have a good home when he was with us.

Client testimonial - Rose & Bracken

Bracken
Rose's testimonial following one phone consultation:

When we first got Bracken we didn’t know his full history and he was a very nervous dog. We wanted him to be re-assured so asked Gemma to talk to him, to re-assure him. When she spoke to him he told her  the things he liked (cheese and sitting on sofas).  After their talk he seemed more re-assured and stopped barking at night for which we are very grateful to Gemma for calming him down.

Client testimonial - Viv & Sophie

Sophie
Viv asked me to communicate with her cat Sophie after having a few problems with fear and anxiety when left with a relative over night.

Here's Viv's testimonial following the communication.

I really enjoyed the consultation with Gemma. She was professional, accurate, encouraging and very obviously a natural communicator! I felt so at ease throughout the whole session. Her intuition was spot on that at times I was blown away. She totally got what Sophie is like and helped me understand how to look at things in another way. It really helped my relationship with my beautiful puss and I will never hesitate to ask Gemma for help if we need it again in the future. Just brilliant.

Client testimonial - Catherine, Sam, Lance & Mouse

Sam & Catherine
Lance

Mouse
Catherine asked me to communicate with her two horses Sam & Lance when I met her at a Pet Day at Bromyard's Countrywide store. We have become good friends & I was later asked to communicate with her beautiful little dog Mouse following her sudden death.

Here's Catherine's testimonial following the communications.

Gemma came out to visit my two horses last Spring. I had recently moved one horse home and acquired a companion horse. Both had marvellous, but very different characters - one Mr Personality but quite unconfident the other an introvert quite a headshy and closed down chap. With careful management over time they were introduced and eventually turned out together - although for months neither seemed particularly 'accepting' of the other. No obvious bond was formed and they kept very much to themselves grazing separately.

Gemma quietly communicated during the afternoon - my 'introvert' had very much the most to say!! Proving to be such a wise old chap - truly a blessing that he has come to me. Gemma introduced me to the concept of becoming 'present' with an animal - a state in which with no ambiguity you share their space, concentrating on your breathing. This proved to be such an illuminating experience. Having spent all my life around horses I felt my 'boys' were happy but so heart-warming to hear that from them!!

Incidentally - whether coincidence or not (we horsy people can be rather pragmatic) I have to mention that these two horses became totally pair bonded. Grooming each other from the next morning onwards, grazed side by side and were happy to be lead together to and from the field quietly and with no tension between them. I very much like to think that we all three came to an understanding that afternoon. They knew someone was listening to their needs, we all gained mutual acceptance and a new harmony.

Tragically a year on from this experience we lost one of our four dogs in a tragic accident. Animal lovers will know and connect with the intense pain the loss of a much loved pet causes made more raw when this is sudden and unexpected. We grieved as a family and a couple of weeks afterwards I contacted Gemma again. Gemma had met all my animals on her previous visit - she was aware of our much beloved dog. For a very small creature she made a very big impression! Gemma explained how spiritually she believes animals see their existence - so much more grounded calm acceptance than us human beings. She told me that my dog would always be with me 'in spirit' and that she would send me a sign whenever she knew I was low. That sign would be a star. Well through floods of tears I then had to explain to Gemma that on the night she died as my husband and I were in the orchard that evening we both looked up to see a shooting star flash across the brightest night sky. And that two days following her death as I looked at her empty basket and drove to work feeling very sad I turned on the radio and the song playing mentioned 'stars' so often and so profoundly I had to wonder!! Whatever our beliefs happen to be all I can say is how deeply moving and comforting I found Gemma’s advice and support to be.

Here's Becky's testimonial following the communication with the two of them

Gemma was amazing, so in tune with my cats Pepper & Sammy, I feel like I have a deep connection and understanding with them now. I would recommend to anyone who has pets, it’s a little odd granted but you will be blown away with how spot on she is.

Josh
Katie asked me to communicate with her dog Josh who had passed away many years ago. She was very close to him & still missed him. She wanted to make sure he was ok wherever her was.

Here's Katie's testimonial following the communication with Josh:

Gemma communicated with my German Shepherd Josh who passed over many years ago. Through her communication I was reassured that my big, handsome boy was very happy sharing his life with us and I was moved to hear that his spirit is still with us.

I can't thank Gemma enough for this meaningful reading and bringing the memory of Josh’s love and light back into my life after all these years. Josh was such a huge part of my life; his death a huge loss. To be reunited with his spirit like this through the communication was simply wonderful. Thank you Gemma.

Here's Sarah's testimonial following the consultation that took place over the phone:

I was wondering how my cat Tabby was feeling since moving into our new home so I contacted Gemma. I wasn't disappointed, she gave me answers and thoughts from Tabby that no one else could know and I was really reassured to find out how Tabby was feeling, it was great knowing she was happy. Client testimonial - Eamonn Holmes & Maggie

Gemma, Eamonn & Maggie
Eamonn asked me to communicate with his family dog Maggie to find out how she was in general - emotionally and physically. The Holmes' family adopted Maggie from the Dogs Trust and were eager to know if she was happy and content with them. Eamonn, Ruth and their son Jack were due to go on holiday and wanted to be certain that Maggie was happy with the arrangements in place for her care whilst they were away.

Here's Eamonn's testimonial following the consultation that took place at his home:

Don’t we all wish we were Dr Doolittle? That we could ‘talk to the animals and they could talk to you’. Gemma is very committed to what she believes in and she feels that she has a link to animals that she easily shares with owners. You can only judge for yourself, but she certainly is a committed young woman who only wishes you and your pet to have a better understanding.

Eamonn Tweeted "Had an amazing consultation with Animal Communicator Gemma Blackwell she's helped me understand my wonderful dog even more"

Client testimonial - Max & Annie

Max
Annie asked me to communicate with her Mum's dog Max as her parents had recently moved house and they wanted to make sure Max was happy in his new home.

Here's Annie's testimonial following the phone consultation:

Max lives with my Mum so before doing the communication I checked my Mum was happy with me doing it which she was, although I didn’t let on when I would be speaking with Gemma. Gemma told me that Max was telepathically giving her a virtual tour of his new home, so she was able to describe my parent’s place to a T. When I called my Mum after the communication and explained I had just spoken with Gemma her response was this: “Oh well that explains why Max has been driving me mad all evening. He was in and out of the garden, in the bedroom, in his bed then behind the sofa. He was acting like he was giving someone a tour of the place!” “He also kept running to the door like he does when there is someone there or hears a car.” … We were amazed to say the least! It was also nice to hear he was happy in his new home.

Millie
Maisie
Bridget asked me to communicate with her two dogs Millie & Maisie to simply find out how they were and if there was anything she could do to improve their lives.

Here's Bridget's testimonial following the face to face consultation:

Gemma is extremely professional in her all aspects of her business life. Gemma's expertise in communicating with animals is second to none, she puts both owner and pet at their ease and is very empathetic with both. I would use Gemma's services again as it allowed me to understand my dogs so we could move our owner/ pet relationship on in a more grounded positive way.

Client testimonial - Pepe & Christine

Pepe
I met Christine at a Mind, Body & Spirit fair in Whitchurch, Shropshire. I was doing a talk at the fair & in my talks I ask people for photos of their pets to do a demo communication. As Christine had the gorgeous Pepe with her I asked her if he could be my demo pet, this was the first live demo I'd done with a real live animal as I'd only ever used photos so I am so glad Pepe was a clear communicator.

Here's Christine's testimonial following the live demo consultation:

For most of the events I attend I normally have my dog Pepe with me. On this particular event, run by Liz Walmsley, Gemma was also there promoting her animal communication. In her half hour talk at this event, my dog Pepe became one of her demo/clients. Gemma took a few minutes to connect with Pepe then started to tell me things that only Pepe would know. I found what she had to say really interesting as Gemma had not met me, or Pepe prior to this event. Gemma was honest and friendly in her aproach. She was easy to talk to and Pepe relaxed really well around her.

Megan
Sue contacted me as Megan's brother, Sparky, died in the March & she was suffering from grief. She wanted me to communicate with Megan & see if there was any way we could help her.

Here's Sue's testimonial following one Skype consultation:

Gemma's ability to communicate with animals was evident through the information our cat passed on to her. Information that only a member of our family, in that I include our cats, could have known. Gemma also has an easy empathy with humans who live with animals.

Client testimonial - Lynn & Tasha

Tasha
Lynn started following me on Twitter & got in touch to ask if I could communicate with her gorgeous girl Tasha.

Lynn adopted Tasha when she was 8 & Tasha came with lots of fears and anxieties due to previous treatment. Lynn wanted to be able to make her totally happy and trusting of her & her husband and other humans but she didn't know how to. Lynn didn't want to change her, she just wanted her to be as happy as she could be with them, and wanted to know if there was anything they could do.

Here's Lynn's testimonial following one Skype consultation:

I am so glad I came across your details.  I was slightly unsure about the whole animal communication thing, as I’ve never been involved in anything like this before – but I was also determined to explore every avenue possible to make and keep Tasha as happy as I could. That’s why I’m so delighted with how the consultation with you went. I have followed some suggestions you made and she is definitely more relaxed and confident.  From her point of view I’m convinced she knows how much I wanted to help her and that we now have a kind of secret pact between us. She’s a very happy little dog and I’m so grateful to you for your help and advice.

Animal Communicator to the stars! Eamonn Holmes & Maggie

At the end of June I had the pleasure of working with Eamonn Holmes and his beautiful dog Maggie. The Shropshire Star wrote a lovely article on the communication which I'd like to share with you all. Once I have received Mr Holmes' testimonial I will be adding this to my website along with piccy's!

Thursday 7 June 2012

My first ever communication with a wild bird.. & rescue mission!

Please turn head to the right - cannot rotate image sorry!

Wow what a magical evening I've been having! Ben just got home & I rambled on at him like an excited toddler telling her Mum about meeting Father Christmas! So now I'll ramble at you!

Well this evening my lovely little cat Franny brought home this gorgeous little bird, I'm sure it's the same one she brought back at the same time last night that Ben rescued from her & released!

As she sat there over it in the hallway growling at my other cat Fingles I was frozen - Ben always deals with this sort of stuff & he wasn't around! I don't handle wild animals... the thought of handling a bird or mouse dead or alive frightens the life out of me.. "But you're an animal communicator" I hear you say! I know, doesn't make sense does it! But I usually deal with domesitcated animals not wild, unpredictable ones.

I decided to lock the cats in the kitchen & leave the bird to catch it's breathe & when Ben got home he could deal with it. I went to sit back down & deal with my emails but something was eating at me, a little voice saying "But you're an animal communicator, you're a healer, why aren't you helping this little one". I couldn't ignore this voice, it was talking sense. I needed to stop giving into Fear.. my fear of a tiny bird! I know.. mad!

So I went & sat with the bird, I explained that I was a little scared & my little birdy friend thought it was hilarious that I was scared of him! I placed my hand behind him & gave him Reiki healing. As I felt my hand warm up I heard the bird say "Oh that's nice, it's warm". I asked the bird where it hurt most & he said "My left wing" so I concentrated on that area. Every so often he would open his mouth, it felt like he was releasing the pain. I also sat & got present to calm him down & watched his erratic breathing calm down with mine, we were helping each other find peace with this situation.

He kept checking my hand was still there by looking round & I'd reassure him that I was still there & the cats were locked out. As my hands got cold I stopped giving him healing & asked if he would like to be left alone & he said "No, I'll be scared on my own", I asked a couple of times & in the meantime filled a shell with water, as he kept opening his mouth & I just 'felt' my friend needed water for the shock. Finally my little friend said I could go & leave him in peace to recover in quiet. I told my friend to let out a 'chirp' when he wanted me back to help.

About 15-20 minutes later I heard the 'chirp' & found my friend in the spare room so the little one had definitely recovered! I told him that I was too scared to pick him up so I'd get a box & he had to jump in. Well he looked at the box & with some coaxing jumped out again. I was hoping to avoid this.. touching the bird! Suddenly I forgot that this little one needed my help & gave into my fear, then something took over. I decided to man up & pick up the bird, it took a few attempts as birdy squeeked at me & flapped around but after a few attempts I got him in the box. He felt so fragile I was afraid of hurting him even more. Before I got him in the box I asked him to pose for a photo & he tried a few angles & finally found his best side which I've shared with you.. what a beauty & what a character!

I walked across the road to the big oak tree & offered him a branch, he hopped on, then onto the next & then another until he flew into the hedgerow. I felt quite emotional seeing my little friend fly to freedom & felt honoured to have shared this special time with him. I know I helped him but he helped me too.

When you see a bird in the sky remember he is an individual, he has a character & feelings, just like every other living creature on the planet.

An unbreakable bond between wo(man) & dog.. a heartwarming story from Tessa

Connie & Phoebe
Connie was my original Flatcoat. I adored her and she was with me through thick and thin in my life.  She died aged 8 of cancer. I knew she was very ill, just because I knew her so well, but to the outside world you would never have known. Connie knew she was dying and she met her passing with such dignity and faith but her passing broke my heart. My consolation was Phoebe though who was her only daughter (she had had 8 pups - 7 dogs and Phoebe who needless to say I kept!) and Phoebe became my rock. Connie and Phoebe had been inseperable and after Connie died, I just knew in my heart of hearts that Phoebe would also pass just to be with her mum. She did - 14 months later of a gastric torsion aged 6. My world fell apart. I always thought of them both as one soul - a soul that had perhaps divided which can happen. They complimented each other, they were as one and after Phoebe died, I knew they were together as one again.

I ticked along day in and day out, and had wee Tess (Rob's working collie who has now retired) to pour my love out on. She is a delightful, loyal and loving dog, but throughout all this and to this day, my Girls were and are always by my side - they walk with me and are my inspiration and guides for my work.

Well, here is the magical and spiritual part of it all. On the 2nd anniversary of Connie's passing, and 10 months after Phoebe passed, I was feeling very sad and opened up my e mails to find one from the couple who had had Monty - one of Connie's other pups, to say he was about to become a father and did I want a Connie Grandpup!! Well, they had no idea of the huge significance of the day.....some things are just meant to be... and Fleur came into our lives. Fleur IS Connie and Phoebe.  It is uncanny but unless you knew them both, you couldn't ever know.  Fleur is delightful and from the moment she walked into my life, I knew that Connie and Phoebe had been sent to me for a reason.  I thank them every day for my wonderful gift.

Fleur
Who says spirit is not there!!

Testimonial - Rachel & Malley

The beautiful Malley
If you are an animal lover and have a pet you need to contact this lady. She is amazing. I met Gemma Blackwell a while ago and was fascinated by what she does but today I found out first hand what an incredible difference she can make to you and your animals lives when she came and helped me communicate with my cat Malley. Incredible.... You need to book her time before she gets too busy!

Testimonial - Sarah & Humphrey

Humphrey
I just wanted to say thank you for communicating with Humphrey.  You confirmed a lot of what I knew (but had doubted) but also put my mind at rest that he was ready to go and knows that we loved him so much.  I felt a lot lighter after I'd spoken to you and will look for the signs of him saying hello.  Humphrey is a truly beautiful soul and brought such love and light into our lives, I will always miss him but know now that he is there for me and always will be.

I am so interested in animal communication and hope in time more light will be spread throughout the world and more people will see the true beautiful souls of animals.

You are compassionate and understanding and I'm sure you will help many more animals and their carers.  Thank you for sharing your stories with me.

Thank you,

Sarah
